Centre national du costume de scène

CNCS - Neighbourghood Villars, old district of cavalry - Historic Monument

Opened in July, 2006, in Moulins, Auvergne, the Centre national du costume de scène (CNCS), the world's first museum devoted to stage costumes and sets, has become an obligatory visit for lovers of the stage.

Once their final show has ended, the costumes of the National Opera in Paris, the Comédie Française and numerous theatres and French stage companies arrive to start their second life. Here, they will never be worn again, but they are preserved, studied, and exhibited.

Visitors to the Centre national du costume de scène are thrust onto the stage of the greatest theatres and operas for a tour through their productions.

Enjoy a new themed exhibit every six months, family-oriented attractions, a shop, and a restaurant decorated by Christian Lacroix.

Admire the portrait of Madam Delphine Pinasa, Director of the Centre national du costume de scène in Moulins (France).
