A challenging course in a protected area of biodiversity

Open since 1993, the "inland" Montpensier-Vichy Golf course offers 18 superb holes nestled in the heart of the royal lands of the Bourbon family and the historical lands of the Montpensier Forest.

A genuine harbor of tranquility, easily accessed within a protected natural setting, the Montpensier-Vichy golf course features not only the serenity of grounds with a wealth of authentic natural flora but also the advantages of its location only a few minutes from the hotels and attractions of the center of Vichy.

Designed by architects James Engh and Thierry Sprecher, the golf course can be played year round. The middle of the course features a graceful forest of hundred-year-old oak trees. The course boasts generous lightly rolling fairways, but with the ever-present challenge of the forest, a number of water obstacles, and several streams, it requires players to drive with precision and employ shots with careful technique to attack the greenways.

This technical, varied, and gorgeous course represents a challenge that will thrill golfers of any level. In July, the Montpensier Trophy Week and the Grand Prix are some of the most popular events of the season in Vichy.
